How much do AVR programs cost? Contact AVR to see what funding is available for your school or community. While much of AVR's funding originates from solid waste district memberships and grants, we sometimes need to request match funds from schools.
What are Membership Packages?Association of Vermont Recyclers' (AVR) membership packages are offered to Solid Waste Districts, towns, conservation organizations, educational organizations and other interested parties. The packages include a membership fee and discounts on a selected number of theater programs & workshops.
Our innovative programs help your town or school meet requirements outlined for environmental education in the Vermont Framework of Standards and the Vermont Solid Waste Management Plan. AVR is continually updating its programs. No other organization in Vermont offers comprehensive programming to address sustainability issues related to solid and hazardous waste reduction.
With your membership you can sponsor theater shows, workshops, exhibit tables, service learning projects and school technical assistance.
If your town or organization has limited funding, consider asking a local business to help "sponsor" AVR programs in your community. Sponsorships allow businesses to provide community support and enable small towns to remain within their budgetary constraints while still meeting the education requirements.
